Aquigny
L’Hostellerie d’Aquigny
Sumptuous food, a great wine list, excellent service, very good value and in a pretty setting, this really is a gem. The restaurant has private parking and a small bar area for pre-dinner drinks. Suitable for parties of friends or couples.

La Chaumière
This is a beautiful cottage-style restaurant with a terrace for outside dining as well as a charming interior. La Chaumière has a relaxed atmosphere where diners can take their time enjoying the creations of the English-speaking chef. The locally produced and wonderfully malty Richard the Lion Heart beer is available here.

La Croix d’Or
Seafood is the speciality of this restaurant, although the menu has something to suit everyone’s taste. The duck is particularly good and the choice of wines is excellent.
The service is faultless and the prices are very reasonable.

This is a chain that appears across France and is a great family restaurant or perfect if you want a less formal dining experience. Here you will find unusual meats like bison and ostrich, as well as more traditional French dishes.

Situated within a hotel in Louviers, the restaurant offers traditional French cuisine but also some individual creations from the chef that change every month or so. The dining is quite formal, the wine list impressive and the service excellent.

Overlooking Louviers, this restaurant-crêperie is a popular local choice which enjoys lovely views over the countryside. Unusually for the area, the restaurant serves cocktails as well as crêpes like L’Indienne, with a curry filling. The restaurant also serves traditional Normandy food.

Rouen
Rouen has too many restaurants to list them all here, but the main areas to look out for are:
- The Place du Vieux Marché has many excellent restaurants all the way round the square
- The area immediately round the St Maclou church has a number of restaurants in very pretty half-timbered houses.
